I just read this blog yesterday and was SO excited for the webcast because it's on my birthday! I thought I'd be able to do it since it's at 11pm but my time that's 5 or 6 (I can't remember) and I'll be at work :[ and no one can cover me. I'm still super stoked for the DVD I just wish I could've gotten it then!!

This post has probably been my favourite for many reasons: You're coming out with a DVD that not only is going to be amazing, but I'm going to get more ideas about Astronaut when you do a blog for that video. Speaking of ideas rocketing around and weighing down your mind, my choreography for Astronaut is one of them. The costume is decided, I drew it all over two of the pages of Thoreau's Walden (my summer reading assignment). It's pretty fucking wicked. It involves a victorian style skirt and a hat. A big one. With flowers and feathers and lace galore. The choreography is still in progress since the ideas aren't all there but it has to do with falling apart at the seams. Literally. And I'm excited to hear what you have to say on the song.... inspiration is my friend.
Secondly because of this line: "the ability to deal is the talent, not the perfection in your head. nobody will ever see the perfection in your head. sorry.
this is why some artists kill themselves." There's not really a story behind it that would be tell-able (like, physically... I don't think there are words for it), but it explains a lot.
Third: Because I'm in love with the videos on the Dolls page... somehow I had never seen them. And they just made my day.
Fourthly: Because I saw a tribal-fusion bellydancer in your Backstabber (with Panic!) video... which was indeed Katie Kay. I haven't seen enough of her dancing, sadly, but I am sincerely in love with her work at SkinGraft.
Fifth... because all of this comes together with you and you are Amanda Fuckin' Palmer. 'Nuff said.

This is exciting! I'm looking forward to the dvd; I'm glad to get some money into the artist's hands, and for me, audio and video quality is really important. Glad this will be available "crankable plastic" form and not just internet postage stamp form.

I remember seeing CHip film at one of your shows. The one in Chicago. It's too bad you didnt have more Camera people maybe you could have made some extra live shots, or done a live who killed amanda palmer dvd.
In fact I would have brought a camera and shot film if I was allowed to and had contact with the venue or you and the crew. But perhaps some other time. But you know, you can always save that for the future.
